Nebraska NAM girl wins Prudential Spirit of Community award - featured on local news for achievements

The 2007 NAM Nebraska Jr. Teen, Jordan Somer recently won the 2010 Prudential Spirit of Community award, which is one of the most prestigious awards in volunteerism among teens today. Jordan, who took her love for pageantry and applied it to an even greater good - creating a pageant for disabled women and teens, that ALSO raises money for local charities. The Miss Amazing Pageant is in it's 3rd year and continues to make a difference.

Jordan, who also won the NATIONAL GOLDEN ACHIEVEMENT(the highest award our program offers for volunteerism) award at our national pageant in 2007, has helped raised more than $15, ooo for charities in her hometown of Omaha, NE through the Miss Amazing Pageant, as well as provided an opportunity for women and teens with special needs a chance to shine.

Recently, Jordan made headlines on WOWT news(NBC's local new station in Omaha, NE). The story featured Jordan with her Prudential Spirit award, talked about why she gives back, and mentions Jordan's involvement in the National American Miss system.
